🚀 SENIOR DATA ENGINEER | FULLY REMOTE (US) | COMPETITIVE SALARY + BONUS
HD-Tech are pleased to be working with a leading enterprise consulting organisation delivering large-scale data transformation and cloud migration programmes across North America.
This role is heavily centred around Snowflake and requires deep hands-on expertise in building, optimising, and operating enterprise data platforms within Snowflake environments. Candidates without strong Snowflake experience will not be suitable for this position.
You will play a key role in designing and delivering modern cloud data warehouse solutions, supporting major Oracle-to-Snowflake migration programmes and enabling clients to transition from legacy data platforms to scalable, cloud-native analytics environments.
🔷 Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical lead on Snowflake-based data platform design and delivery
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Snowflake architectures
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines with Snowflake as the core data warehouse
- Lead Oracle data warehouse migration projects into Snowflake, ensuring accuracy, performance, and scalability
- Develop and optimise SQL-based transformations within Snowflake environments
- Implement ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Fivetran, and Informatica IICS, with Snowflake as the target platform
- Ensure best practices for Snowflake performance tuning, cost optimisation, and data modelling
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues within Snowflake-based solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, engineers, and business users
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Contribute to data governance, architecture standards, and delivery best practices

🔷 Key Skills & Experience
- Expert-level, hands-on experience with Snowflake (mandatory)
- Strong SQL development and performance tuning within Snowflake
- Proven experience with Snowflake data warehousing and cloud data platform architecture
- Experience migrating from Oracle to Snowflake strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of data modelling and modern ELT/ETL approaches
- Experience with dbt, Fivetran, and/or Informatica IICS
- Background in enterprise data engineering or consulting environments
- Experience with Windows scripting or automation tools is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
