Senior Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing, Ho Chi Minh City

Charterhouse Singapore is partnering with a multinational organisation to appoint a Senior HR Manager for a newly established manufacturing facility in Ho Chi Minh City. This role will report directly to the Country Manager.

The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for building and leading the Human Resources function for the company’s Vietnam operations, from greenfield development and construction through to full operational readiness.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring the establishment of HR processes, policies and systems, as well as the ability to scale the workforce as the business grows. Candidates with prior experience supporting greenfield manufacturing projects or business start-ups will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Vietnam HR strategy in line with project milestones and business objectives.
• Establish HR policies, systems and governance for project delivery and future operations.

• Design organisation structures and workforce plans for the project, ramp-up and operational phases.
• Advise leadership on organisation design, capability development and succession planning.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and talent partnerships for technical, operational, corporate and leadership roles.
• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese labour laws, employment regulations and statutory requirements.
• Manage employment contracts, HR policies, employee relations and performance matters.
• Implement compensation, benefits, payroll and reward processes aligned with market and group frameworks.
• Drive employee engagement, culture, leadership development, change management and wellbeing initiatives.
• Manage work permits, visas, expatriate assignments and relocation support.
• Oversee HRIS, employee records, reporting, analytics, budgets and vendor relationships.
• Ensure effective administration of the full employee lifecycle.
• Manage end to end HR Operations

Attributes

• Previous experience in Manufacturing HR and scaling a plant
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Vietnamese
