Role Description This is a part-time, remote Manual QA Tester role focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of the DocMed EHR platform. The Manual QA Tester will execute test cases on web and related interfaces, validate new features, and verify bug fixes against defined requirements. Daily tasks include creating and maintaining test cases, documenting test results, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers and product team members to clarify issues and requirements. The role also involves regression testing before releases, reproducing user-reported issues, and suggesting improvements to usability and workflows. The successful candidate will work independently, manage testing priorities, and communicate clearly in a distributed team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Assurance and Manual Testing skills, with experience validating web applications or SaaS products.
- Ability to design, maintain, and execute clear and repeatable Test Cases for functional and regression testing.
- Solid Analytical Skills to investigate defects, reproduce issues, and interpret expected vs. actual behavior.
- Proficiency in structured Test Execution, including documenting results, logging defects, and tracking them to closure.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar) and basic understanding of SDLC.
- Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time setting.
- Experience testing healthcare, EHR, or other regulated software products is a plus.
- Relevant coursework, certification, or prior QA experience is preferred; a background in technology, computer science, or related fields is helpful but not mandatory.
