The hourly rate on offer for the successful Senior Embedded Systems Engineer is $100-$200 per hour, depending on skillset and experience. Onsite and full remote working is available as long as you have easy access to NYC.
Summary of the Senior Embedded Systems Engineering Role:
The successful Senior Embedded Systems Engineer will act as the company’s Electrical Engineering Subject Matter Expert being responsible for the full design and development of Electronics Hardware, PCB Design & Embedded Software/Firmware Development for the company’s product and technologies.
Senior Embedded Systems Engineer Key Skills:
- Education - Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 8-10+ years industry experience
- Experienced in the full product design lifecycle
- Electronics Circuit Design (analogue, digital & power circuits)
- PCB Design & Schematic Capture
- Proficient using Altium Designer, Eagle, Fusion
- Experience in Embedded C, C++ & bare metal development
- Experience of Microcontrollers – STM32, ARM, PIC, ESP32, Arduino
- Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, WI-FI, Bluetooth, ZigBee, LTE, RF
- Experience of NPI, DFT, DFM, DFC
- IDE’s - STM32CubeIDE, MPLAB X, IAR Embedded Workbench, KEIL or similar
- Hardware Debuggers & Tools – JTAG Debuggers, Segger J-Link, ST-Link
- Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting electronic systems
- Present and previous experience of team leadership/management, coaching, mentoring onsite and remote team
- Industry experience - AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Large Language Models (LLM), IoT, Consumer Electronics, Healthcare
