Senior Construction Project Manager - Large-Scale Superstructure Projects

Catalyst People Partners is conducting a search for a Project Manager on behalf of its client for large-scale superstructure projects based in Azerbaijan.

The profile we are looking for is a strong field-oriented project leader with proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing projects from initiation through final delivery.

The position will be involved in investor-side project management processes across luxury hospitality, residential, villa, and mixed-use developments.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Construction Project Manager based in Baku Azerbaijan. The Senior Construction Project Manager will oversee day-to-day project execution and manage all aspects of construction projects, from planning to completion. Responsibilities include managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and coordinating with stakeholders to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Strong Project Management experience in large-scale superstructure projects,  

• Proven expertise in Construction Project Management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of complex construction projects,  

• Proven background in luxury hotels, residences, villas, private housing, or qualified mixed-use developments,  

• Experience managing and successfully delivering projects exceeding 100,000 m²,  

• Ability to lead projects from pre-construction through handover,  

• Strong site execution, construction management, and field coordination experience,  

• Strong Project Coordination and Project Management skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams,  

• Solid knowledge of subcontractor management, progress payment processes, planning, budgeting, financial oversight, and cost control,  

• Experience managing operational processes in line with construction quality and regulatory compliance requirements,  

• Ability to manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and official authorities,  

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills,  

• Fast decision-making capability and strong crisis management skills,  

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• Fluent English communication skills; Turkish is considered an asset,  

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office, and other project management software/tools,  

• Familiarity with ERP / project management systems such as IFS, SAP, or Oracle,  

• Previous experience in Azerbaijan, CIS countries, Central Asia, or similar international markets is considered a strong advantage,  

• Knowledge of local construction regulations and regional project dynamics is considered an advantage, 

• Suitable for relocation and active assignment in Azerbaijan.
