Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced technical support for a broad range of infrastructure-related incidents and requests
Investigate and resolve complex issues affecting customer systems and services
Escalate, coordinate and manage high-priority incidents where required
Carry out planned changes and maintenance activities in line with operational procedures
Assist with infrastructure deployments, upgrades and migrations
Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Collaborate with colleagues across support and project functions to deliver effective technical solutions
Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve service delivery and customer experience

Job Description


Please be aware this role requires you to work 7am till 7pm Saturday, Sunday and Monday. (36 hours per week. You will then be off Tuesday through Thursday.


Weekend Infrastructure Support Engineer

Location: Remote, UK

Schedule: 7:00am – 7:00pm, either Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday


Overview


An established technology services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide technical support and operational expertise across a range of customer environments.


This position would suit someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, working with cloud and on-premise technologies, and taking ownership of incidents through to resolution. You will play a key role in maintaining service quality, supporting business-critical systems, and contributing to ongoing service improvements.


Working as part of a close-knit technical team, you will support a varied customer base and be involved in incident management, change implementation, technical documentation, and infrastructure projects.


Key Duties


  • Provide advanced technical support for a broad range of infrastructure-related incidents and requests.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues affecting customer systems and services.

About You


You will have gained solid infrastructure support experience within a managed services, IT support, or technical services environment and be comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities.

Relevant Microsoft certifications would be advantageous, although equivalent commercial experience will also be considered.
