About the Role
We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to join a growing cloud engineering team supporting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and be comfortable working in a fully remote, international environment.
This is an initial 6–9 month contract engagement with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position based on performance and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
- Automate cloud operations, deployments, and monitoring processes.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security, and Development teams.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and Kubernetes-related issues.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven expertise with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation practices.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, and monitoring solutions.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration and scripting.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Language Requirements
