Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with Account Executives, SDRs, sales leadership, and technical teams throughout the sales cycle
Lead technical discovery and solution scoping conversations to understand customer environments, pain points, business objectives, and technical requirements
Translate customer challenges into solution recommendations and communicate both technical and business value
Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, workshops, and whiteboarding sessions tailored to customer use cases
Support and execute customer technical evaluations and proof-of-concepts, including configuring environments, demonstrating use cases, and assisting with customer requirements
Assist in building and maintaining demonstration environments and reusable technical assets
Develop light scripts, workflows, and API integrations to support demonstrations and customer evaluations
Support technical sales activities including RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, technical proposals, and evaluation documentation
Act as a trusted technical resource for customers, partners, and internal teams during evaluations
Consider implementation feasibility and customer operational realities when designing solution recommendations and technical approaches
Collaborate with post-sales and delivery teams to ensure continuity between customer expectations and implementation outcomes
Maintain awareness of competitive solutions and industry trends and effectively position technical and business differentiators during customer engagements
Create and improve reusable technical assets, demos, documentation, and playbooks that improve team effectiveness and scalability
Contribute customer feedback, competitive insights, and market observations back to product and leadership teams
Contribute technical expertise to webinars, podcasts, whitepapers, demo assets, and technical marketing initiatives
Stay current on identity technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry developments
Contribute wherever needed within a fast-moving startup environment

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technical Identity and Access Management (IAM) Solution Engineer to join a growing team and serve as a critical technical partner throughout the customer journey. This role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, business acumen, and problem solving to help organizations evaluate and understand modern identity and security solutions.

You will work closely with sales leadership, account teams, customers, partners, and technical stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, deliver tailored demonstrations, support proof-of-concepts, and guide customers through technical evaluations.

The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with engineers, architects, CISOs, and business leaders while translating complex technical concepts into practical business value.

This role is ideal for someone with 3-6 years of experience in Solution Engineering, who wants meaningful ownership, broad exposure, and the opportunity to grow rapidly.

We are looking for self-starters who thrive in ambiguity, proactively identify gaps, create structure where none exists, and take ownership from idea through execution.

This is a fully remote U.S.-based role with approximately 10–25% travel for customer meetings, conferences, trade shows, partner events, and internal collaboration.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

·        3–6 years of experience in Solution Engineering, Presales Engineering, Technical Consulting, Customer Engineering, Technical Account Management, Implementation Consulting, Professional Services, Solution Architecture, or related customer-facing technical roles.

·        Strong foundational understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and architectures.

·        Working knowledge of:

o  Single Sign-On (SSO)

o  Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

o  Federation

o  SAML

o  OAuth

o  OIDC

o  SCIM

o  Active Directory

o  LDAP

o  Zero Trust concepts and security architecture

·        Experience delivering customer-facing technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, or training sessions.

·        Exposure to proof-of-concepts or technical evaluations.

·        Familiarity with APIs and light scripting using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, or similar technologies.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·        Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

·        Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.

·        Strong ownership mentality with demonstrated initiative and accountability.

·        Comfortable operating in environments with changing priorities and limited structure.
