About The Role

The Providence team is seeking a Principal Data Analyst specializing in Revenue Cycle management to join our Remote Analytics team. This senior role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing complex data analysis initiatives that directly support revenue cycle performance and organizational financial objectives. The Principal Data Analyst will operate in a highly dynamic environment, balancing multiple stakeholder requests while ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of analytical outputs. The role offers the flexibility of 100% remote work and is open to candidates residing within 65 miles of select locations including Anchorage, Renton, Portland, Irvine, Lubbock, and Hobbs. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analysis skills to translate complex data into actionable insights, facilitating informed decision-making across Revenue Cycle functions. This position provides an excellent opportunity to impact healthcare financial performance while working within a collaborative, mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles involving large and complex data sets
• At least 4 years of demonstrated proficiency in SQL, including advanced query development, data modeling, and performance optimization within large relational databases
• Strong skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, with 5 years of experience
• 2 years of experience working with Epic systems, including Epic Clarity, with the ability to extract, interpret, and analyze data from Epic revenue cycle modules
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex data models and analytical dashboards to support revenue cycle performance metrics
• Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from various sources, including Epic systems, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and develop analytical approaches that align with organizational goals
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and present them effectively to senior leadership, including Finance and Revenue Cycle executives
• Manage multiple concurrent analytical requests, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines
• Conduct root-cause analysis to identify drivers of operational and financial performance issues and develop recommendations for process enhancements
• Support initiatives aimed at optimizing revenue cycle workflows and improving financial outcomes through data-driven strategies
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data analytics and healthcare revenue cycle management
