They are seeking a skilled Level 2 IT Technician to join their team, ideally located in Durham Region or London, ON. This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote setup, with a preference for candidates residing in the specified regions to facilitate easier travel to client sites when necessary.
Position Summary
The Level 2 IT Technician is vital for efficiently handling technical escalations, enhancing client satisfaction, and ensuring seamless IT operations. This remote role promises a dynamic and engaging workload, where each day brings new opportunities to resolve complex technical issues through escalation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage and resolve escalated issues related to software, hardware, networking, and other technology-related concerns.
- Use advanced ticketing systems to track and manage service requests and incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system and network issues to restore functionality and maintain security.
- Collaborate with team members to refine operational processes, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive records of escalations, resolutions, and any significant incident details within our IT knowledge base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing outstanding service and support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Level 2 Technician role, preferably within an MSP environment, focusing on issue resolution and escalation handling.
- Proficiency in Windows server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V, as well as fundamental networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Expertise in managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Exceptional problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Relevant technical certifications (CompTIA, CCNA, MCSA) are preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally to client sites as needed.
