We are partnering with a fintech company specializing in payments to support their team expansion in Limassol. The company provides innovative solutions that help businesses manage and optimize their payment operations at scale.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our client's team during a key phase of growth. Partnering closely with the Head of Data, you will leverage GCP’s managed cloud services to build and scale a high-performance Data Warehouse that supports next-generation AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will establish strong engineering practices, including CI/CD and Git version control, and own the semantic reporting layer, turning data into actionable insights that drive global operations.

Responsibilities

● Utilize & Optimize Managed Services: Build, scale, and maintain our core DWH and data pipelines utilizing fully managed cloud services, optimizing data ingestion from production databases and external syncs.

● Architect for AI & Analytics: Build low-latency data models to serve clean, reliable data to predictive AI models, real-time routing engines, and BI tools

● Ensure Reliability, Compliance & Cost-Efficiency: Introduce robust CI/CD frameworks (Git), unit testing, and stringent security protocols to guarantee warehouse stability and PCI-DSS/SOC2 compliance—all while architecting budget-friendly, cost-optimized cloud solutions.

● Own the Looker Semantic Layer: Act as a true engineer across the entire stack. Write clean, scalable code to maintain our core semantic and business layers, taking full ownership of Looker and translating raw data into clear business intelligence

Requirements

● Experience: 5+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI Development with a heavy emphasis on engineering fundamentals. Proven track record of building data warehouses and semantic layers from scratch.

● Technical Mastery: Expert-level SQL and Python. Deep knowledge of API extractions, data modeling (dbt/Dataform), and Git version control.

● Cloud & Tooling: Strong experience utilizing the managed Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem (specifically BigQuery, Dataform, and Looker). Familiarity with managed orchestrators (e.g., Cloud Composer/Airflow).

● AI Savvy: Proficient in using generative AI coding assistants to maximize execution speed, applying strict independent verification and logical critique to all outputs.

● Soft Skills: High resilience, extreme ownership, and a strong operational mindset focused on data SLAs and uptime. Excellent technical communication.

● Must be fluent in English.
