Here’s what the job entails
In this role, you will use your analytical skills to analyse problems and develop solutions while contributing to the development and maintenance of trading strategies.
Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:
- support the development and back-testing of algorithmic trading strategies using machine learning and analytical models
- maintain existing strategies and projects using Python
- analyse data to identify trading opportunities
- solve ad-hoc tasks related to trading or existing projects

As our new junior quantitative analyst, you will join our Automated Trading team, where we specialise in developing and implementing algorithmic trading strategies for the energy market. Our focus is on leveraging technology and data analysis to optimise trading performance.

As you will be carrying out various analyses, we imagine that you have the ability to think critically and take a detail-oriented approach. Also, as you will collaborate with various stakeholders, we are looking for someone with solid communication skills.
We also imagine that you are:
- currently enrolled in a relevant educational background in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or similar
- proficient in Python
- curious about machine learning techniques and frameworks
- proficient in English – both written and verbal
Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
