Technical and Soft Skills:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Spark Engineer with expertise in GCP Cloud, Scala, and Python. As a Senior Spark Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data processing pipelines using Apache Spark in an GCP Cloud environment. This role will require a deep understanding of distributed computing frameworks, as well as strong programming skills in Scala and Python.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 4 years of proven experience as a Spark Engineer, with a focus on building and maintaining data processing pipelines
• Strong programming skills in Scala and Python, with the ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code
• Expert in Spark optimization
• Cloud experience (preference GCP)
• Deep understanding of Apache Spark, including Spark Core, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, and RDDs
• C1 in English (speaking, written and reading) (mandatory)
• Candidates must be in European Unior and have EU Passport / nationality

Responsabilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize data models and data storage solutions for efficient data processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and data processing workflows
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Spark applications
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members
