Product Owner, Open Banking Infrastructure (Remote Europe)

Our client is a fast-growing Open Banking infrastructure company operating at the heart of European financial services. They build the technology that connects banks, fintechs, and businesses — transforming complex regulatory frameworks into simple, scalable products. Backed by a strong engineering culture and a clear product vision, they're at an exciting stage of growth where this hire will have real influence from day one.

This is a high-autonomy Product Owner position — you'll own the roadmap, not just manage a backlog. Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll act as a strategic bridge across Core and Checkout teams, working on bank coverage, categorisation, and AI-powered products that matter. The role is fully remote within Europe, with occasional travel to Norway (~once a month).

📌 What you'll own

• Strategic roadmapping — define goals, success metrics, and an 18–24 month roadmap approved by leadership
• End-to-end ownership — from ideation and development through to launch and long-term growth — we want someone who has built products from zero, not just managed existing backlogs
• Technical partnership — engage directly with engineers on architecture, APIs, and technical debt
• Cross-functional collaboration — work with KYC, Legal, Commercial, and client-facing teams

✅ What we're looking for

• 3+ years working directly with bank APIs, Open Banking infrastructure, or PSD2-regulated products — this is the core of what we build
• 3+ years managing technical products (APIs, distributed systems, ML/data platforms)
• Proven track record of defining and launching products from scratch, with measurable outcomes
• Strong working knowledge of PSD2, Open Banking standards (e.g. Berlin Group, STET), or equivalent EU payment regulation
• Exceptional written and verbal English; confident presenting to leadership

💰 Salary: €75,000 – €85,000 EUR
