Quality Assurance Engineer in AUSTRALIA

The position will be part of a small team which works on SaaS products built and owned by Tesserent as well as software projects for our clients. It will involve conducting manual testing as well as developing automated testing tools to improve the effectiveness of our QA / testing systems. Working within a broader team of software developers, the ability to gain an understanding of the software and draw out testing requirements will be critical. Product development is carried out via two-week sprints, and any experience with agile development methodologies will be a bonus.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Automating existing manual testing procedures, and integrate automated tests into CI pipelines
  • Working within, and evolving, our existing QA procedures
  • Track work in issue tracker
  • Work closely with team members on ensuring bug fixes and new features are adequately covered by manual & automated tests
  • Produce internal documentation for testing procedures, processes, and tools



CORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in end-to-end UI test automation, ideally in the Python language
  • Experience in manual testing
  • Experience with off the shelf testing frameworks as well as building custom testing frameworks using automation libraries such as Selenium and Playwright
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals such as Linux and Git
  • Good verbal and written communication skills



NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience in mobile UI testing
  • Personal GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket profile to demonstrate applicable skills
  • CI/CD, Ansible and/or Docker experience
