VODA.ai is an American company with its headquarters in Boston, USA. We use Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to predict the probability of city water pipes bursting. The models that are being developed are useful for regional governments and city planners as well as utility companies (there are 240,000 water main breaks per year) and society at large (to conserve water from such breaks).

Role description

VODA.ai is seeking a Data Scientist based in Greece to join us in our mission to save water using Artificial Intelligence technologies. The Data Scientist will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with data science, including statistics, data visualization, and data analysis. She/he will also be responsible for working with other teams to drive insights and innovation using data-driven approaches.

You are a Data Scientist based in Greece, with experience processing data through Python, creating Machine Learning models, devising and running new algorithms, and preparing analysis reports. You have a passion for data and you enjoy writing high-quality code. You are comfortable working in a startup environment where you will work closely with other product team members. You want your role to have a big impact and a strong voice within a fast-paced and growing company. You have strong organizational skills to keep work on track and to a high standard.

Qualifications:

• Programming skills in Python (minimum 2 years of experience)
• Experience in Data Science (minimum 2 years of experience)
• Experience in data preprocessing - cleaning
• Experience with version control systems such as git
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Evidence of self-motivation for continuous development

• Experience with GIS software is a plus
• Experience in the utilities industry is a plus
