Senior Manager - Data Engineer/Product Owner

GlobalSource IT is working with a direct client based out of the Chicago Metro Area. They are currently looking to add a new Senior Manager - Data Engineer/Product Owner to their team. The candidate selected for this position should be able to lead a team and help solve business problems with end-to-end engineering and analytics solutions. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to be full-time for the right candidate. The contract will be a minimum of 6 months and will then turn into a FTE opportunity. This project is expected to be worked on a HYBRID work schedule (3 days per week).

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Guide the shift to a data-centric approach, ensuring the business has access to trusted, user-friendly, dependable, and high-performing data solutions.
• Collaborate with leaders, software engineers, data engineers, developers, and data scientists.
• Experience with data visualization platforms.
• Experience with Databricks, Power BI, DBT, and Azure Cloud.
• Strong programming foundation in Python, Spark, Pandas, etc.
• Create and deploy data models, tables, and dashboards to assist the business in understanding data, gaining insights, and making well-informed decisions.
• Prior experience managing and leading a team to build customer and self-service solutions leveraging Cloud-based architectures.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in analytics engineering.
