Mid-Level Java Developer - Exciting, FinTech Start-Up

About: MCS is delighted to be partnering with an exciting cutting-edge fintech startup specializing in the algorithmic trading of corporate bonds. Our clients niche product is aimed at revolutionizing the technology landscape of corporate bonds, shaping the future of this. I met with the CTO who has said the companies aim is to genuinely, 'change the world'. Founded by two former hedge fund experts, who also leverage machine learning and AI to drive their innovative solutions.

Role: I am on the hunt currently, for a technically skilled individual to join this fully remote team of 11. As a mid-level Java developer, you will work closely with the CTO , the team of developers and the quants, who are spread across North America and Europe. Here you will be deeply involved in hands-on coding and diverse technical tasks.

Requirements, please only apply if you have/are:

• 3-7 years of experience as a Java developer.
• Experience with Python.
• Prior experience with a start-up.
• Multi-skilled with the ability to work across different technologies and tasks.
• Strong background in either; finance knowledge(bonds) or previous fintech experience is essential.
• UK-based, in London.
• Ability to work independently and flexibly, meeting deadlines and participating in stand-ups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in hardcore programming using Java and Kotlin on the engine side, and Python for data processes.
• Manage continuous integration pipelines and perform some DevOps and infrastructure work.
• Work with AWS and Kubernetes, staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Handle varied day-to-day tasks, requiring multi-skills and flexibility.
• Contribute to the actual trading process, ensuring data-driven strategies.
