What you will do as an Automation Engineer:
- Confirm all information and testing materials, including product readiness, for the checkout team when checkout is scheduled to start.
- Navigate SolidWorks models and drawings to identify problems and clarify the build process.
- Complete a Production Concerns request when discrepancies are discovered.
- Complete an Engineering Change Request (ECR) for machine continuous improvement ideas.
- Follow build books, change orders, ECNs, and other documented requirements when checking out machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues on machines in production.
- Ensure all ECNs have been installed on the machines and the ECN log has been properly updated.
- Work with the Production Manager and Lead for final handoff of machinery from assembly to checkout.
- Perform all checkout and equipment testing functions on single machines, including formers and closers, and projects.
What you will need to bring to the Automation Engineer position:
- A two-year Automated Packaging degree or equivalent experience.
- Automation degree or Robotic degree preferred.
- Background in Automation.
- Strong electrical experience.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Understanding of Rockwell operating systems
