â—Ź Demonstrable practical experience of a range of systems and technologies which support a primarily virtual organisation

â—Ź Ability to get to grips quickly with new technologies
â—Ź Ability to work autonomously, showing initiative while building excellent relationships with the wider team
As the IT Operations Manager you'll oversee all the technical considerations for the charity. You'll be someone with a hands-on approach to resolving any and all technical issues directly where needed, with a kind and thoughtful manner and interest in making the most out of tech (new and old) to further Rewilding Britain in it's fantastic cause. This could be from setting up email lists and fiddling in MailChimp, to cybersecurity to identifying and organising training courses for staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
â—Ź Managing all aspects of operational IT, including training or organising training, and supporting staff with the suite of cloud-based systems (including Google Suite, Slack, Trello and Miro) and applications used across Rewilding Britain.
â—Ź Managing the relationship with our outsourced IT support provider, ensuring timely issue resolution and excellent user support in line with agreed service level agreements and key performance indicators.

● Working with Rewilding Britain’s Data Protection Officer to support a data management approach that is GDPR compliant, ensuring that data is managed appropriately across the organisation and manage regular tests to ensure that data breaches are mitigated
● Supporting the development of Rewilding Britain’s approach to knowledge management, including defining processes and overseeing the population of the organisation’s intranet
â—Ź Providing IT expertise to support project success across a range of departmental and organisational projects
You'll have at least 5 years’ experience of working in technology as a generalist (though I suspect much more!) - with accountability for successful IT operations in some capacity. You'll be able to demonstrate practical experience of a range of systems and technologies which support a primarily virtual organisation. The type of experience we'd love will extend to managing outsourced IT provision and contract management of cloud-based services and applications, as well as documenting IT processes and supporting our team with developing their confidence in the use of the technology we use. Finally, you're likely someone who's managed information data security and understands how to mitigate cyber risks.
