Senior Android Platform / BSP Engineer (Contract)
π Location: Fully Remote (Europe or US time zones preferred)
β Contract Type: Freelance Contract - Initial 6 months with extensions
π΅ Rate: Up to β¬450 per day β Room for negotiation
We are working with a leading consultancy in France that is looking for 2 Senior Android Platform / BSP Engineers to join there embedded linux team. This is a fully remote contract but they are working with a US-based customer so US or European time zones are highly preferred.
In this role you will work across the full Android platform stack, contributing to Andoird bring-up, BSP development, system integration and low level debugging on embedded hardware platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- End-to-end Android bring-up on embedded hardware
- Android build system customization and debugging
- BSP, kernel, and HAL development
- Debugging complex issues across bootloader, kernel, HAL, and Android services
- SELinux policy development and Android security work (excluding TEE)
- Collaboration with distributed engineering teams

- Strong experience with Embedded Linux and at least a couple of years of working on low-level Android platforms.
- End-to-end Android bring-up experience

- Experience of trouble-shooting at all levels
