Location: Denver, CO (Onsite – multiple locations)

Contract Type: W2 Contract

Pay Rate: $40-$53/hour W2 depending on experience

Duration: 3 month contract

About the Role

We are supporting a hands-on IT infrastructure project that combines light server room relocation with end-user desktop deployment and support. This role is ideal for a Desktop Support Technician who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in onsite environments.

This is a single-resource role. You will be responsible for executing the work end-to-end, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring systems and users are fully operational with minimal disruption.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with relocating server room equipment between onsite locations, including:
• Inventorying, labeling, and boxing hardware
• Re-racking and reconnecting servers
• Performing basic post-move validation
• Image, configure, and deploy approximately 30 new workstations
• Coordinate directly with users to:
• Swap devices
• Collect and wipe old equipment
• Install required software
• Track IT assets and maintain accurate documentation
• Prepare equipment for surplus or recycling
• Provide Tier 1–Tier 2 desktop support during and after the transition
• Basic networking experience: *Core network configuration and IP addressing are handled by a separate team.

Required Qualifications

• Current CompTIA A+ certification
• Strong experience with:
• Windows 10/11 imaging and deployment
• Desktop hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting
• Tier 1–Tier 2 desktop support
• Experience handling, labeling, and tracking IT equipment
• Ability to lift 75–90 lbs
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Professional communication skills; comfortable working directly with end users
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between sites

Prefered:

• Prior experience assisting with a server room move
• Experience working in enterprise or multi-site environments
• Asset management or inventory tracking experience
