Protocol Engineer (Rust) in EMEA

About Us:

Chainway Labs is a pioneering blockchain infrastructure company dedicated to advancing Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Zero Knowledge technology. Our current focus is on developing Bitcoin's inaugural ZK rollup - Citrea. We are now seeking for a Protocol Engineer. The ideal applicant will possess substantial experience using Rust for the development of distributed systems. Familiarity with the Ethereum protocol, rollups, and the Bitcoin protocol will be advantageous.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in software development, preferably in backend, data analysis, algorithmic trading, or embedded systems.
• Proficiency in Rust.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• An aptitude for quick thinking, problem-solving, and clearly and effectively expressing solutions.
• "That Guy" or "That Gal" Mindset: We value individuals who exhibit a proactive approach to tasks and challenges, fearlessly conquering any obstacles in their path.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Bitcoin, Lightning Network, and Ethereum rollups, particularly ZK rollups.
• Understanding of Blockchain and layer 2 architectures.
• Previous start-up experience or demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit.
