About The Role
The Human Resources Business Partner at Turner Surety & Insurance Brokerage plays a pivotal role in supporting our organizational goals by providing strategic HR guidance to designated business units. This position involves managing a broad spectrum of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, training, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to both employees and management, fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with our core values of diversity, inclusion, and integrity. This role requires proactive engagement with employees at all levels, ensuring compliance with policies and promoting a safe, equitable, and engaging work environment. Additionally, the HR Business Partner will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean principles to enhance HR processes and operational efficiency. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in large-scale or construction-related industries
- Professional in Human Resources® (HRCI PHR®) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM CP®) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and operational procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
- Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), preferably SAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and familiarity with continuous improvement tools and lean methodologies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% as required
- Provide strategic HR guidance and support to assigned business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and culture
- Administer and communicate HR programs, policies, and procedures; respond promptly to employee inquiries
- Create a trusting environment where employees feel safe to engage with HR openly and constructively
- Partner with management to address employee relations issues, performance management, and disciplinary actions
- Manage talent acquisition activities, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and maintaining candidate pipelines
- Develop and maintain relationships with external staffing agencies and participate in college and career fairs
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding programs, ensuring a smooth integration process
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; monitor progress toward diversity goals and provide feedback
- Oversee internship programs and serve as escalation point for interns’ concerns and development
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking data and manage end-to-end recruitment processes
- Facilitate employee referral programs and support internal mobility and staffing strategies
- Assist with relocation, transfer, and visa processes, providing guidance and vendor coordination
- Support performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies through training and counseling
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the HR team, applying lean principles and tools
- Competitive salary range of $97,000 - $105,000 annually
