Job Role
A Senior QA Automation Tester with over 5 years of hands-on experience, specializing in Playwright + TypeScript. Skilled in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web applications, while driving end-to-end automation strategy focused on reliability, reusability, and seamless CI/CD integration to ensure continuous quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using Playwright + TypeScript for web applications.
- Contribute individually (80%) to automation scripting, debugging, and framework optimization.
- Lead and mentor junior QA team members (20%), conducting code reviews, resolving blockers, and sharing best practices.
- Plan, design, and execute test cases for UI, API, regression, smoke, and functional testing.
- Perform end-to-end test coverage, including integration, cross-browser, and data-driven testing.
- Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria to identify automation feasibility and coverage gaps.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure defect-free releases and smooth sprint delivery.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for continuous testing and early feedback.
- Handle Git merge requests (MRs), manage version control, and resolve conflicts for automation repositories.
- Document test results and maintain traceability in TestRail and Jira, ensuring transparency and quality tracking.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, grooming, retrospectives) and provide accurate QA estimations and risk assessments.
- Monitor and report automation metrics such as execution trends, coverage, and defect leakage.
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, maintain code quality through SonarQube checks, and contribute to framework improvements.
