Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented paid marketer with client-facing and local marketing experience to join our rapidly expanding team. You’ll directly manage search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns across both Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube) and Microsoft Ads, making optimizations and updates daily. Your complex and diverse portfolio of clients will be a mix of local and SMBs that constantly challenge you with goals to maximize performance, reach, and customer acquisition across these channels.

The Paid Search Specialist will report to the Director, Paid Media. The position will also work with our global support teams within AdMax Local. You should be able to work well as part of a distributed team and provide innovative solutions to the new problems and opportunities that arise every week. In addition, you should have the ability to function equally well independently and as part of a team, as well as the ability to adapt to a changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management & Optimization

· Develop, implement, and optimize paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads.

· Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and target audience to improve campaign relevance and efficiency.

· Create and manage ad groups, ad copy, and extensions aligned with client objectives and promotional calendars.

· Apply best practices for bid management, ad scheduling, and budget pacing.

· Use automation tools, rules, and scripts to improve campaign efficiency and scalability.

· Set up conversion tracking and ensure accurate measurement through GA4 and Google Tag Manager.

· Proactively identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, ensuring campaigns meet ROI and CPA goals.

· Proactively communicate campaign updates and performance insights via Zendesk tickets and internal project trackers.

· Maintain campaign documentation, QA logs, and change history for audit, accuracy, and transparency purposes.

Performance Analysis & Insights

· Monitor key performance metrics (CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate).

· Extract, organize, and analyze raw campaign data from Google Ads and Bing using Excel — leveraging Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas to generate actionable insights.

· Analyze campaign data to identify optimization opportunities and recommend strategic adjustments.

· Collaborate with the reporting team to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with India Pod members, reporting team, design team, and other team members to ensure campaigns are aligned with client goals and deliver consistent performance outcomes.

· Participate in internal Pod meetings to share strategic insights, campaign learnings, and optimization opportunities.

· Collaborate across teams to maintain campaign quality, brand consistency, and efficient execution across time zones.

Continuous Learning & Improvement

· Stay current with platform updates, industry trends, and best practices in paid search marketing.

· Contribute to developing frameworks for scaling successful campaigns across markets.

Qualifications

· US-based applicants only

· 3-5+ years in digital marketing with hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns; prior experience at an agency is strongly preferred

· 3+ years of experience managing multiple client portfolios in paid search (Google, Microsoft/Bing)

· Experience directly managing monthly budgets of $50k

· Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and respond with an appropriate sense of urgency in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

· Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis, attribution, ads implementation, and platform integration

· Strong presentation skills and ability to clearly communicate campaign performance with internal and external stakeholders

· A proactive mindset, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional leads and existing teams

· Experience driving campaigns from concept through to execution, and performing post-campaign analysis

· Experience with analytics/tracking tools: Google Analytics (Universal & GA4), SEMRush, Google Tag Manager

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a professional business environment

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Google AdWords Certified (Preferred)

· Google Analytics Certified is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

· Salary range ($65k - $75k) depending on experience and location

· Remote environment

· Health/dental/vision benefits

· Unlimited PTO

· 401(k) plan
