Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to lead the development of our AI-powered visual commerce platform. You will guide technical strategy, scale our engineering org, and work hands-on to build robust systems that power next-gen social commerce experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who loves building, experimenting, and leading teams in a high-growth environment.

What You’ll Do

• Technical Leadership: Have an understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI concepts. Architect and design scalable ML systems and data pipelines. Lead development of AI/ML solutions from prototype to production. Establish best practices for ML model deployment and monitoring. Guide technical decisions around model selection, training, and optimization. Ensure ML systems meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers. Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Participate in hiring and growing the engineering team. Remove blockers and enable team productivity.
• Project Execution: Drive successful delivery of complex technical projects. Balance technical trade-offs with business requirements. Collaborate with Product and Design teams on technical feasibility. Ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
• Process & Innovation: Implement and improve engineering processes and practices. Lead technical planning and estimation sessions. Drive adoption of new technologies when beneficial. Maintain documentation of system architecture and technical decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Required Experience: 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management building AI-based solutions and web-based infrastructure. 5+ years experience coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, Python and/or PHP.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI concepts. Experience building and deploying production ML systems. Understanding of current AI-based image generation technologies.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
