Senior Frontend-Focused Full-Stack Engineer (React + Python) – Tidepool Labs Europe
Tidepool Labs Europe is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a strong React.js focus to help shape and scale our agentic platform. You’ll play a leading role in building interactive, high-performance web experiences that connect humans and AI through elegant design and robust engineering.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize modern React.js applications with TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, and React Query (or similar state management).
- Collaborate with designers to deliver pixel-perfect, accessible, and high-performing UIs that feel natural across devices.
- Integrate React frontends with Python APIs (Flask/FastAPI/Django), ensuring smooth data flow and consistent user experiences.
- Develop RESTful and GraphQL API integrations and reusable hooks/components for data fetching and caching.
- Drive frontend architecture decisions — component libraries, routing, performance, testing, and code standards.
- Work closely with backend and ML engineers to visualize complex AI workflows and analytics in intuitive dashboards.
- Contribute to build pipelines (Vite, Webpack), testing (Jest, Playwright), and CI/CD practices.
- Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and cross-team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in web development.
- Expertise in React.js and TypeScript — strong grasp of hooks, state management, and performance optimization.
- Experience with frontend build systems (Vite, Webpack) and testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, or Playwright).
- Proficiency in Python for backend integration (Flask, FastAPI, or Django).
- Strong understanding of RESTful/GraphQL APIs, component-driven architecture, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront) and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Solid knowledge of Git, debugging, and performance profiling tools.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Next.js, React Server Components, or SSR/SSG patterns.
- Understanding of design systems (Storybook, MUI, or Tailwind).
- Familiarity with WebSockets, real-time data, and data visualization libraries (Recharts, D3.js).
- Knowledge of Graph databases (Neptune, Gremlin) or NoSQL.
- Exposure to Generative AI or LLM-based applications.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud security best practices.
