About the Role:

Location: Jackson, TN (Onsite | Long-Term Contract)

Who We’re Looking For

In this role, you’ll help shape the future of Toyota’s powertrain manufacturing — from internal combustion to electrified vehicle (BEV) technologies. You’ll be responsible for defining equipment and die specifications, managing capital projects, leading process trials, and driving continuous improvement in quality and performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

🔹 Manage Projects

• Lead new and existing powertrain casting projects (aluminum cylinder blocks, hybrid transmission housings, BEV e-Axle cases, etc.)
• Develop project budgets ($5M–$45M) and timelines (12–24 months)
• Oversee equipment and die procurement, installation, and trial runs leading up to SOP

🔹 Manage Processes

• Develop North America–specific “Operation Drawings” based on Toyota standards
• Support process design, hoshin (goal setting), and shikumi (system development) initiatives

🔹 Resolve Problems

• Maintain and manage a daily project punchlist
• Apply client’s Business Practice methodology for root-cause problem solving

🔹 Lead & Collaborate

• Direct cross-functional project teams and external contractors
• Lead meetings, manage installation schedules, and ensure project milestones are met

What You Bring

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electrical, or related field)

✅ 3+ years in production preparation or manufacturing engineering

✅ 1+ years managing major model changes (equipment, tooling, or process)

✅ 1+ years leading projects or workgroups with milestone accountability

✅ Strong technical communication, coordination, and leadership skills

Bonus Points (Preferred Experience)

⭐ 3+ years in casting or metals manufacturing

⭐ Hands-on High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) experience

⭐ Experience with NC machining, Fanuc Robots, or Toyopuc PLCs

⭐ Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD (AutoCAD, Creo, etc.)

⭐ Familiarity with capital project documentation and cost justification
