Senior Backend Developer (PHP to Golang Migration)

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Developer with significant Highload experience to join us, develop our existing PHP platform, and actively participate in the migration and transition to Golang.

We offer remote work within the European Economic Area (and some other countries) or in-office opportunities in Limassol, Cyprus. Full relocation support to Cyprus is available for those who prefer office work.

Russian language knowledge is a must!

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong expertise in PHP as the primary programming language.
• Proven experience working with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Laravel).
• Demonstrable experience with Highload systems and performance optimization.
• Mandatory: Experience working with Docker for local development and deployment.
• Mandatory: Solid familiarity and understanding of Golang (a strong desire to develop expertise in this area is essential).
• Mandatory: Fluency in Russian language
• Desirable: Experience with Golang in production.
• Desirable: Experience with event-based architecture and distributed systems.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and improving existing application code (legacy systems) in PHP.
• Developing new features and functionalities for our high-traffic applications.
• Designing, developing, and supporting new backend services, including actively participating in the migration and development of services using Golang.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure code quality and system reliability.
• Actively learning and applying Golang to solve high-performance challenges.
