About The Role

As the SAP Technical Business Analyst, you’ll be a key contributor to Goodstart’s SAP Readiness and Implementation Initiative. This foundational project will assess current gaps, document manual processes, and establish a roadmap for migrating to a cloud-based SAP solution.

You’ll bridge business requirements with technical solutions, focusing on SAP custom developments, data integration, and technical design. Working alongside developers, architects, and business stakeholders, you’ll define technical requirements, support data migration, and enable scalable, efficient solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications
• Designing and implementing SAP custom developments (ABAP, Fiori, SAP BTP)
• Defining integration requirements for SAP and third-party systems
• Supporting data migration strategies, mapping, and validation
• Ensuring data integrity, quality, and compliance with governance standards
• Developing data archiving and retention strategies aligned with SAP best practices
• Providing technical input on architecture, performance, and security
• Supporting API development and middleware integration
• Executing technical test plans and resolving defects during testing
• Preparing technical documentation including design specs, integration diagrams, and data flow models
• Maintaining version control and ensuring documentation is accessible and up to date
• Communicating technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with functional BAs, developers, and SMEs to ensure alignment
  
  

About You

You’re an experienced SAP Technical Business Analyst with deep expertise in SAP architecture and custom development. You bring strong analytical and communication skills, and thrive in complex, data-rich environments.

Must-haves

• Proven experience as an SAP Technical Business Analyst (non-negotiable)
• Strong knowledge of SAP architecture including ABAP, Fiori, and SAP BTP
• Experience in custom development, system integration, and performance optimisation
• Familiarity with Signavio for process mapping and optimisation
• Experience with SAP HXM (preferably Cloud) and SAP migration projects
• Strong process mapping and gap analysis skills across finance, payroll, and integrated systems
• Confidence in managing stakeholder resistance and driving consensus
• Ability to identify and document risks and opportunities across interconnected systems
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills to build relationships and guide change
  
  

Work Environment

• Majority of the team is based onsite, with flexibility for workshops and collaboration
• No travel required
