About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our core products. In this role, you will work on building and enhancing data ingestion pipelines, developing systems that extract structured knowledge from unstructured debugging sessions, and creating hybrid search infrastructure that combines vector and metadata retrieval for high-precision context surfacing.

You will also be involved in designing and implementing the MCP server and API layer, which serve as integration points for AI assistants during development workflows. Additionally, you will connect external data sources such as GitHub and Google Docs into our knowledge graph, enabling seamless data integration and retrieval. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, developer tools, and infrastructure, shaping the future of intelligent coding assistants.

Our tech stack includes Python, TypeScript, vector databases, large language models (Claude/GPT), PostgreSQL, and Next.js. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and help build scalable solutions that impact thousands of developers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of software engineering experience at a top-tier software company or equivalent experience.
• Strong fundamentals in backend development, including API design, database architecture, and debugging production systems.
• Proficiency in Python or Go, with hands-on experience deploying and maintaining production systems.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, translating vague requirements into concrete solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, suitable for an async-first remote team.
  
  

Preferred qualifications include experience with vector databases, semantic search systems, familiarity with LLM APIs and prompt engineering, and understanding of developer tools, IDEs, or CI/CD workflows. Contributions to open source projects or side projects that demonstrate craftsmanship are also highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion pipelines to parse and structure session data from IDE logs and developer tools.
• Build systems that leverage large language models to extract structured knowledge from unstructured debugging sessions, enabling smarter AI assistance.
• Implement hybrid search infrastructure combining vector and metadata retrieval to surface relevant context with high precision.
• Develop and optimize the MCP server and API layer to facilitate seamless integration of AI assistants into development workflows.
• Connect external data sources such as GitHub, Google Docs, and others into our knowledge graph, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date information retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and iterate on product features.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to uphold high engineering standards.
