Job Summary
The SEO Specialist (Covering Brello & HelloWellness) will be responsible for driving organic growth and visibility across the Brello and HelloWellness e-commerce ecosystems. This role oversees the execution of all core SEO disciplines (technical, on-page, and off-page) to achieve key success metrics including MoM growth in organic traffic and new users, increased keyword rankings (top 3 and top 10 positions), a technical site health score consistently above 85%+, steady growth in backlink profile, and ensuring organic search contributes 15–25% of total website revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Content & On-Page SEO
- Research and identify high-value keywords for both brands (short-tail, long-tail, and topical clusters).
- Write, edit, and optimize SEO-driven blog posts, landing pages, and product pages.
- Implement on-page SEO best practices: meta titles, descriptions, headers, alt text, schema markup.
- Develop content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and seasonal demand.
- Optimize internal linking structure to improve crawlability and rankings.
- Technical SEO
- Monitor and maintain Google Search Console for both brands.
- Conduct regular site audits (crawl errors, broken links, indexing issues, site speed, mobile usability).
- Collaborate with developers to fix technical SEO issues and improve site performance.
- Ensure structured data, sitemap updates, and canonicalization are in place.
- Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
- Develop and execute link-building strategies (guest posting, PR outreach, partnerships).
- Monitor backlink profile, disavow toxic links when necessary.
- Identify opportunities for digital PR and co-marketing to grow domain authority.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Use Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.) to track performance.
- Report weekly/monthly on keyword rankings, traffic growth, CTR, and conversions from organic search.
- Measure ROI of SEO efforts and tie performance back to revenue and acquisition goals.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with the content team to ensure all blogs, landing pages, and campaigns are SEO-optimized.
- Partner with email, influencer, and paid media teams to align on keyword messaging and campaign integration.
- Use ClickUp to manage tasks and workflows, ensuring deadlines are met.
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience in a dedicated SEO role, preferably within an e-commerce or direct-to-consumer environment.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and industry-leading SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush). Strong understanding of technical SEO, content optimization, and link-building best practices.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, including how to monitor, audit, and remediate issues like crawl errors, broken links, indexing issues, site speed, mobile usability, structured data, and canonicalization.
- On-Page Expertise: Ability to execute and implement all aspects of on-page optimization, including keyword research, writing/editing SEO-driven content, and applying best practices for meta data, headers, and schema markup.
- Link Building & Authority: Experience developing and executing link-building strategies (guest posting, PR outreach, partnerships) to drive Domain Authority growth.
- Ability to track performance metrics (rankings, traffic, CTR, conversions) and measure the ROI of SEO efforts.
Preferred
- Experience covering multiple e-commerce brands.
- Experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via virtual meeting
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms, such as typing.
Benefits & Compensation
- 100% remote fulltime position.
- Performance based bonuses paid quarterly.
- Pay: $22 - $27 per hour based on experience.
- 2 weeks of PTO per year.
