Role: EUC DevOps Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with EUC team to understand day-to-day sprint activities
- EUC contextual knowledge to manage and provide support to EUC teams and support during high priority incidents.
- Integrating DevOps practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing into end-user computing environments
- Faster deployment of updates and improvements
- Increased flexibility in responding to end-user needs, and a more seamless overall user experience.
- Responsible of EUC/Workplace tasks through by collaborating with Product owner
Operational Role Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Operating System and Mac OS
- Proficient in scripting languages for automating tasks and processes
- Knowledge on Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) for automating the build, test, and deployment processes
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for deploying and managing applications in the cloud
- Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for managing code changes and collaboration with team members
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are also important for working effectively in a DevOps environment.
Role Description:
The EUC DevOps Engineer role is accountable for providing a specialized approach that combines end-user computing (EUC) practices with the principles of DevOps involving automation and process streamlining to manage end user devices and to improve efficiency, collaboration and end user experience
Essential Skills:
- Excellent Communication
- Scripting language experience like Python or shell scripting
- Tools knowledge such as Gitlab CI/CD
- Cloud Platform knowledge on AWZ or Azure
- Knowledge of security concepts
Desired Skills:
Network Knowledge: Understanding of network protocols, security, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless communication between different components.
Problem solving: Knowledge of tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to manage and maintain the configuration
Technical Learning: Able to learn new skills quickly and is adapt at learning new industry skills and competencies via various methods
