Software Tester

We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Junior Software Tester to join a dynamic project for our client based in Estonia. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in verifying software functionality and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality product to the Estonian market. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain international project experience and build a foundation in software quality assurance within a cross-cultural team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute manual test cases for new features and regression testing suites for the client's software platform.
• Identify, document, and track software defects with clarity and precision using designated issue-tracking systems.
• Validate bug fixes and perform smoke testing to ensure stability across development builds.
• Collaborate with a distributed team of developers and other QA professionals.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of test cases based on client requirements.
• Participate in virtual team meetings, providing clear and concise status updates on testing progress.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational understanding of software development and testing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting and manage time effectively across different time zones (Estonian time, EEST/EET).
• A proactive and collaborative work ethic, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the QA field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Exposure to any programming or scripting language.
• Any knowledge of the Estonian language or culture is a distinct advantage, though not required.
