The Product Manager's role is crucial in helping farmers globally improve dairy production efficiency and in connecting stakeholders across the dairy industry. This strategic position requires a high degree of specialization in cloud software platforms, agriculture, and international market expansion. In this role, the candidate must possess the ability to effectively collaborate with and manage diverse teams across various domains, including engineering, product, strategy, sales, support, marketing, and finance, with the primary objective to provide farmers with best-in-class actionable insights. This role requires a unique skill set, as it involves engagement with all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead cloud-based herd management software and develop vision roadmaps within the dairy space.
• Collaborate with stakeholders globally to enhance product competitiveness.
• Drive sales, business development, and establish the VAS brand internationally.
• Promote product adoption with support from portfolio companies withing URUS.
• Manage third-party relationships using a matrix structure that spans local and global opportunities.
• Work closely with potential partners including dairy processors, nutrition companies, pharmaceutical firms, veterinarian groups, and cooperatives.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for market penetration and revenue growth.
• Monitor and analyze competitive activity, customer, and market trends. Provide actionable insights to guide product and marketing strategies.
• Facilitate connections and collaborations among stakeholders across the dairy industry to promote the product and enhance its value proposition.
  
  
  

Requirements: In this role, the individual:

• Has extensive experience in working with globally distributed software applications, ideally related to the dairy industry.
• 3 years serving as Product Owner or Product Manager, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle for software products.
• Has a proven track record of working closely with leaders at the executive level and establishing agreements with corporate partners.
• Possesses ability to gain deep knowledge of the dairy industry and understand the specific needs of dairy producers.
• Has a history of successfully collaborating with various organizations to achieve product success.
• Has successfully launched a software product or project with global reach.
• Is proficient in executing projects within a global and diverse organization, ensuring adherence to scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Is an enthusiastic team player and exceptional communicator with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
• Is skilled at working in international environments.
• Demonstrates experience in setting clear Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for themselves and their team.
• Is experienced in coordinating user testing and release cycles to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
  
  
  

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or related role in the tech industry.
• Strong understanding of the dairy industry and herd management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Proficiency in English.
