Role Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our development initiatives for the Global ENS Division.

This role will oversee product development, drive engineering excellence, and manage a team of approximately 10 engineers across Japan and other global regions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development Leadership

• Lead the design and development of new features and products.
• Build and maintain a robust operational structure for existing products.

Development Efficiency & Innovation

• Identify and resolve technical debt through clear roadmaps.
• Drive adoption of AI-based development tools
• Optimize development processes to enhance delivery speed and quality.

People Management

• Manage and mentor a team of around 10 engineers, including 1:1s, goal setting, and performance reviews.
• Recommend and implement improvements to the performance evaluation system.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop talent aligned with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing software development teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience using web application frameworks (any language).
• Business-level Japanese and English (conversation, reading, and writing).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in C# / .NET Framework development.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript + Angular.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience leading multi-regional engineering teams.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical decisions to profit and strategy.
• Skilled at building consensus across engineering, business, and leadership teams.
