Database Administrator with French (Relocation to Poland)

For our customer, a leader in consulting, technology services, and digital transformation, we are seeking a Database Administrator with French to join our international team and support critical business applications.

Project information:

• Location: Katowice, Poland (hybrid model of work)

Your tasks:

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Manage database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Optimize and tune database performance, including queries, indexes, and storage.
• Design and implement database schemas, tables, and procedures to support business applications.
• Install, configure, and maintain database systems (for example: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Develop and maintain database documentation.
• Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches with minimal downtime.
• Manage database access and user permissions.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Database Technology, e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle].
• Fluent English and French languages.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of database systems (for example : MSQL, MariaDB, DB2 (On linux and AIX), Oracle (on IBM AIX), MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres).
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring and performance tools.
• Understanding of data security, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of database design principles and normalization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
