Role: DevOps Engineer
Essential Skills:
- OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) or experience with other Cloud providers: Expertise in managing and operating cloud services, with a focus on OCI or comparable platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Proficiency in using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- CI/CD pipelines: Experience in designing and implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for automating software delivery processes.
- Scripting languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash for automating routine tasks and system administration.
- DevOps principles and practices: Understanding of DevOps culture, methodologies, and best practices for collaboration between development and operations teams to automate processes and improve efficiency.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerizing applications and orchestrating container deployment and management.
- Configuration management tools: Familiarity with tools like Ansible or Puppet for automating configuration management tasks across infrastructure.
- Monitoring and logging tools: Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Nagios and logging tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for tracking system performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Knowledge of networking concepts: Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols for configuring and troubleshooting network connectivity in cloud environments.
- Security best practices: Familiarity with security principles and best practices for securing cloud infrastructure and applications, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance standards.
