Role Title: AI Software Engineer / Data Scientist

Employment Type: 6 months Contract-to-Hire

Preferred Location: Remote, able to support CST timezone

Role Description:

We are seeking a mid-level AI Software Engineer / Data Scientist to join our expanding AI development team supporting global generative AI initiatives. This role focuses on software engineering for applied AI, emphasizing automation, data integration, and scalable generative AI applications rather than research or algorithm development.

The selected candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining composable, modular AI solutions supporting hundreds of internal users across global regions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain generative AI-enabled applications integrating with existing enterprise systems.
• Develop automation pipelines, APIs, and middleware connecting AI platforms and data sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business teams to implement scalable, production-ready AI tools.
• Leverage cloud-based AI environments (Snowflake, AWS, GCP) for development and deployment.
• Build and optimize backend systems using Python, SQL, and containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Adapt quickly to new AI frameworks and tools, supporting evolving business and technical needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 3-6 years of professional experience in software engineering or applied AI development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and backend data management.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker).
• Understanding of generative AI applications, APIs, and prompt engineering concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across teams and regions.

Plus:

• Bilingual English/Spanish or Portuguese a plus (for Latin America-based candidates).
• Familiarity with ML techniques (classification, time series, NLP) preferred but not required.
