We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Manager to take ownership of our newly implemented data warehouse platform and business intelligence ecosystem. This is a critical role that will serve as the technical steward of our enterprise data platform, ensuring our business stakeholders have access to accurate, timely data for strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing our Azure-based data warehouse environment while collaborating closely with business users across the organization to translate their needs into effective technical solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Data Warehouse Management & Development

• Own and maintain the Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics data warehouse running on a dedicated SQL pool.
• Design, develop, and implement database enhancements, including new tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure efficient query execution and system reliability.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive maintenance procedures.
• Manage data models and ensure data integrity across the enterprise data warehouse.

ETL Development & Data Integration

• Develop, maintain, and enhance ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems, including SAP ECC and Made2Manage ERP systems.
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy.
• Schedule and monitor ETL jobs, addressing failures and optimizing performance.
• Document ETL processes and data lineage for transparency and knowledge transfer.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements.
• Create semantic data models to support self-service analytics.
• Optimize report performance and user experience.
• Train and support business users in utilizing Power BI effectively.
• Establish and enforce BI development standards and best practices.

Business Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

• Partner with business stakeholders across departments to understand their analytical needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Provide consultative guidance on data availability, feasibility, and best approaches.
• Prioritize enhancement requests and manage stakeholder expectations.

Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance the data platform and improve business value.
• Stay current with Azure data platform capabilities and industry best practices.
• Recommend and implement new features, tools, or processes to improve efficiency.
• Document system architecture, processes, and procedures.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and business intelligence.
• Strong expertise in ETL development and data integration from multiple source systems.
• Extensive data warehouse development experience, including dimensional modeling, database design, and SQL optimization.
• Proven experience developing reports and dashboards using enterprise BI tools.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, slowly changing dimensions, and data governance.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to explain technical concepts to business users.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics (or similar cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (or similar ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI (or similar BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik).
• Experience extracting data from SAP ECC and/or Made2Manage ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services and architecture.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, and master data management.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain industries.
• Certifications in Azure, Power BI, or related technologies.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps).
• Exposure to Python, R, or other data analysis languages.

Schedule Opportunity:
