About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Flutter Developer to join our innovative team at Athlitix. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of our sports analytics platform's frontend, primarily targeting iOS devices initially. Your expertise will be crucial in building visually compelling, high-performance mobile applications that seamlessly integrate camera functionalities, real-time video processing, and complex UI overlays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, a passion for creating engaging user experiences, and the ability to translate sophisticated design concepts into clean, maintainable code. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend developers in a remote, fast-paced startup environment, ensuring that our platform remains at the forefront of sports technology innovation.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in Flutter development, with a proven track record of delivering production-quality iOS applications.
- Expert-level skills in translating UI/UX designs into Flutter code with meticulous attention to detail.
- Extensive experience in implementing camera and video functionalities within mobile apps.
- Strong proficiency with data visualization libraries such as fl_chart or custom painting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with video processing, overlay creation, and real-time annotations.
- Deep understanding of software architectural patterns like Clean Architecture, BLoC, and dependency injection.
- Experience working with backend platforms such as Supabase or similar backend-as-a-service solutions.
Specialized Skills
- Knowledge of video player customization and advanced media controls.
- Proficiency in developing real-time data visualizations and interactive charts.
- Understanding of camera APIs, media compression, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with cloud storage solutions, particularly AWS S3 integration.
- Familiarity with WebSocket protocols and real-time data streaming.
- Optional experience with 3D graphics and mathematical visualizations.
Development Practices
- Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced development cycles with rapid iteration.
- High ownership mentality, proactively identifying and solving issues.
- Strong self-accountability to deliver high-quality, thoroughly tested code.
- Excellent remote communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with US-based teams.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to ensure continuous integration and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Flutter applications tailored for iOS, focusing on performance and user experience.
- Create rich, interactive data visualizations and UI components that enhance user engagement.
- Integrate sensor data such as gyroscope and accelerometer to enable real-time analytics and features.
- Develop and experiment with AR functionalities using ARKit for iOS and plan for future Android integration with ARCore.
- Manage the entire app lifecycle, including architecture design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to ensure seamless integration and feature delivery.
- Implement best practices in mobile UX, optimize app performance, and uphold code quality standards.
- Take ownership of features, troubleshoot issues proactively, and deliver value rapidly in a startup environment.
- Participate in regular standups, planning sessions, and strategic meetings with the founding team.
