About The Role
As an AI/ML Engineer at Applied Intuition Defense, you will play a crucial role in developing, integrating, and maintaining real-time artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions deployed across a diverse range of autonomous vehicles operating in land, air, sea, and space domains. Your responsibilities will include working with multidisciplinary teams to enhance capabilities and demonstrate solutions in real-world scenarios using various hardware platforms. You will be tasked with designing, developing, and integrating AI/ML models that interface seamlessly across different systems, processing data in real-time with military operators in the loop. Your work will encompass the entire MLOps pipeline, including data ingestion, tooling, labeling, model architecture, training, evaluation, validation, inference optimization, and deployment. You will have access to large GPU clusters and collaborate with some of the industry's best AI talent to push the boundaries of autonomous military systems.
In this role, you will develop perception algorithms to process aerial imagery from various sensors such as electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR), scale datasets through advanced simulation and data generation techniques, and create low-latency inference software for live deployment. You will work closely with hardware, sensor, tracking, autonomy, and testing teams to ensure smooth deployment during on-site Department of Defense testing and demonstrations. Additionally, you will utilize software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing methodologies to gather performance data and optimize system performance. Interacting with DoD customers to understand their needs and delivering superior solutions during field events will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
