About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our expanding team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and maintain scalable API services that power AI-driven products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing backend systems primarily using Python and Flask, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and efficient. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and product managers, to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet client needs and enhance user experiences. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere, provided you can align your working hours with Central Standard Time (CST). This role is vital in supporting our mission to build intelligent systems that leverage OpenAI technologies and other advanced AI tools.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development. You should have a proven track record of designing and deploying production-grade APIs, demonstrating a solid understanding of backend architecture and best practices. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to articulate technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative mindset and a solutions-oriented approach are vital to succeed in our team environment. Familiarity with Python and Flask is required, and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is considered a plus. Knowledge of frontend technologies like React.js and experience with API integrations, especially with OpenAI, will give you an edge in this role.

Responsibilities
