We are seeking a motivated Systems Support Engineer to join our growing technology team. You are someone who is curious, eager to learn, loves solving problems and helping their teammates out. You will work in a collaborative environment and support Safely’s production systems. This role is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues and incidents across Safely systems in production and lower environments
- Analyze and characterize issues
- Collaborate with teammates across technology and operations teams and ensure successful resolution of issues
- Identify repeating patterns of problems and propose optimum solutions
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to overall architecture and evolution
- Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies
- Represent Safely to customers and partners as needed
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in technical support
- Strong organizational, prioritization and communication skills
- Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana or similar
- Experience with AWS or another cloud services provider
- Understanding of database technologies and experience with querying e.g. MySQL, MongoDB
- Proactive, comfortable in an agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Java and/or Angular is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with Kafka is a plus
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and best practices
