Job Description
Title: Infrastructure / Data Center Engineer/Architect
Location: Phoenix, AZ / Walnut Creek, CA (Relocation required before full-time conversion; other locations may be considered during contract phase)
Contract to Hire | On-site or Hybrid
Rate: $ 50- 65/hr
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or data center operations.
- Expertise with Cisco HX/UCS, VMware vSphere, Nutanix HCI, and Cohesity.
- Proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) and Windows Server platforms.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet.
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
- Scripting ability in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Proven ability to lead, communicate across teams, and deliver technical results.
- Willingness to relocate to one of the designated offices prior to full-time hire.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications: VCP, RHCE, Nutanix NCP, CCNP, Azure/AWS Associate.
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management, and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Prometheus).
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
