Our Client is a fast-growing, established leader in the parking and mobility management industry. They specialize in managing a diverse portfolio of parking garages, lots, and facilities across the US. They are committed to quality service, strong partnerships, and require a highly skilled financial leader to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of their financial operations as they scale. 

 

Role Overview 

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – USA-based  

Team Management: Direct management of a team of 4+ onshore and offshore accounting/finance professionals. 

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance/Controller to serve as the functional leader of the accounting department. This role demands a strong manager of people who can execute the day-to-day accounting function while providing strategic financial communication to the executive team. You will be accountable for the accuracy of all financial statements, leading the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance across the organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Financial Oversight & Reporting 

  • Own and manage the entire day-to-day and end-of-month accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). 
  • Direct and execute the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit preparation. 
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and statutory requirements. 
  • Manage Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and payroll processes efficiently. 


Leadership & Team Management 

  • Serve as a strong manager and mentor to a team of 4+ accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Coordinate workflow and responsibilities between local and offshore team members to optimize efficiency. 
  • Drive the training, development, and performance management of the finance team. 


Communication & Compliance 

  • Act as a primary liaison to the USA-based CFO, providing timely and accurate financial data, strategic insights, and operational updates. 
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills by clearly articulating complex financial data, trends, and compliance risks to executive leadership. 
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and tax preparation activities. 
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets. 

 

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Head of Finance leadership role. 
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of accounting/finance professionals (4+ headcount). 
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing the full end-to-end accounting cycle and month-end close process
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and strong internal controls experience. 
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a proven ability to present financial results to senior executives. 
  • Proficiency with modern ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise) and advanced Excel/spreadsheet modeling


Preferred: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable. 
  • Experience in the parking, property management, or asset management industries
  • Experience reporting to a remote US-based executive team.
