Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Experience Required: 10+ years in Network Engineering, Administration, and Infrastructure Management
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center network infrastructures.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Manage VPNs, SD-WANs, and remote access solutions for distributed teams and global offices.
- Work closely with IT Security to enforce network security policies, intrusion prevention, and incident response.
- Plan and execute network capacity planning, upgrades, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Configure and optimize cloud networking components (e.g., Azure Virtual Networks, AWS VPCs, VPN Gateways).
- Implement and maintain network automation and monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Cisco DNA Center).
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams for network architecture design and performance optimization.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, standards, and processes.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network engineering and administration.
- Hands-on expertise with:
Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP)
Firewalls & VPNs (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point)
Load Balancers (F5, Citrix Netscaler, or similar)
Network Monitoring and Automation Tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, QoS, and related protocols.
- Experience managing hybrid network environments spanning on-premises and cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Proven ability to design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance networks.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across multiple network layers.
- Proficiency with network automation (Python, Ansible, or Terraform) is a strong plus.
- Experience with ITIL processes and change management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Expert (CCIE)
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- AWS or Azure Networking Certification
- Experience in SDN, SD-WAN, and network virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA).
- Exposure to network performance analytics and capacity planning tools.
