Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Pharma Forecasting Leader with deep expertise in building, owning, and communicating forecasts that inform critical business decisions across the product lifecycle. This individual will be a trusted partner to senior leadership, driving forecasting excellence for high-stakes assets. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, balances strategic insight with technical rigor, and takes full ownership of delivering clear, actionable forecasts with minimal guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast Ownership: Develop, maintain, and pressure-test forecasts for pipeline, launch, and in-market products—acting as the single point of accountability for forecast accuracy and integrity.
  • Hands-on Modeling: Build and enhance Excel/VBA-based forecast models that are transparent, flexible, and tailored to business needs.
  • Therapy Area Expertise: Apply deep understanding of disease market dynamics (patient populations, diagnostic/treatment pathways, patient journey nuances) to ensure credible forecasts and scenario planning.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders in Commercial, Finance, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Supply Chain, and Clinical Development to align assumptions and drive consensus.
  • Communication & Storytelling: Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling insights for senior executives and cross-functional teams; proactively anticipate and address stakeholder questions.
  • Business Acumen: Integrate forecasting with broader commercial, clinical, and corporate strategy considerations, highlighting risks, opportunities, and trade-offs.
  • Pressure-Ready Delivery: Demonstrate calm, structured problem-solving and a sense of urgency under tight deadlines and evolving priorities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical forecasting, analytics, or commercial strategy roles.
  • Advanced technical skills: Excel (expert level) and VBA; experience with additional analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of pharma functions and stakeholders across the value chain: clinical development, regulatory, medical affairs, market access, HEOR, supply chain, and commercial.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead high-stakes forecasting efforts with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior executives and external partners.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to connect forecasts to P&L and broader corporate objectives.
  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments; comfortable managing shifting priorities.
