Our mission at Carbon is to uncover these hidden gems, connecting the Western technology world to untapped talent markets they would least think to look in.

The Role

We’re looking for a HR Manager who’s not just ready to lead, but eager to build. As Carbon’s first senior HR hire, you’ll lay the foundation for a scalable, people-first organization and shape the culture that will define our growth. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to design and implement modern HR frameworks, systems, and practices that attract, develop, and retain exceptional people. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and love turning ideas into action, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Core HR Operations: Oversee policies, compliance, and HR administration across multiple countries, ensuring consistency and legal alignment.
  • Build Scalable Systems: Establish and refine HR processes for onboarding, performance reviews, employee engagement, and offboarding.
  • Partner with Leadership: Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and people strategy that supports growth.
  • Foster a Positive Culture: Develop initiatives that promote transparency, feedback, and inclusion across a distributed team.
  • Manage Employee Relations: Provide guidance on workplace matters, mediate challenges, and maintain trust and confidentiality.
  • Support Talent Development: Coordinate learning, training, and growth opportunities that enhance team capability and retention.
  • Optimize HR Tools: Implement and manage HR systems (HRIS, ATS, payroll, reporting) that improve visibility and efficiency.
  • Track People Metrics: Use data to monitor engagement, turnover, and performance trends, translating insights into action.

What We're Looking For

  • Experienced HR Professional: 5+ years in HR roles, with a solid understanding of both strategy and operations in growing organizations.
  • Builder at Heart: Skilled at creating HR structures, processes, and programs from the ground up in startup or fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborative Partner: Works closely with leadership and teams, balancing business priorities with a genuine focus on people.
  • Strong Communicator: Handles sensitive topics with clarity, empathy, and discretion.
  • Operationally Sharp: Comfortable managing multiple HR areas, from compliance to engagement, without losing focus or detail.
  • Data-Aware: Uses metrics and insights to guide decision-making, not just gut instinct.
  • Curious and Evolving: Stays informed about employment trends, labor law updates, and best practices for distributed teams.

What's in It for You?

  • A culture that values collaboration, curiosity, and genuine customer care.
  • Competitive pay & benefits.
  • Room to grow in a fast-moving company where your work has real impact.
  • Fully remote—work from anywhere.
